The Peter Project

In 1943, a Japanese-American child moved in with my grandfather's family in Cleveland, Ohio. The child, Peter, had just left the internment camp and would stay with the Hertzes for the duration of the war. In this podcast, I explore how that really happened - and how it's different from the story we've passed on. Part history, part mystery, reporting this story took me to Maine, Cleveland and, eventually, Seattle.
